The most recent commissional work by the Italian artist is called “Super Venice“, first of all because it talks about Venice and the main symbols of this beautiful city immersed in water: from left to right the gondolier with a sweet girl in his characteristic gondola, St. Mark’s Square with it’s famous church tower, the Lion of St. Mark and below a typical Venetian carnival mask. The whole scene is obviously surrounded by water.
The second reason why it’s called SUPER Venice, is because of it’s big size. The canvas measures 100×200 cm which is converted into inch: 39,3×78,7″, so quite a super size. The painting has been painted with a mixed technique, mainly acrylic, spray and marker with several parts of collage. It’s all shades of black and grey and white with highlights in red. The work was commissioned by an art collector from Venice.
